THE STORY
For over three decades, I’ve been fascinated by a single, powerful question: Why do well-intentioned leaders so often have a negative impact on their teams?
I watched it everywhere. In the corporate boardrooms where I worked as a construction lawyer. In the high-pressure project teams I led. In the leadership programs I attended that promised transformation but delivered only awareness. That gap – between what leaders intend and what their teams experience – became the focus of my entire career. I read every book on it. I studied the research. I trained as a Certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner. And I realised that nobody was offering leaders a practical, real-world system to actually close the gap. So, I wrote one.
